We recently bid farewell to our cleaner of 14 years…

Our cleaner certainly earned her retirement! After starting at The Breadmaker as an apprentice in our coffee house, she was a valued member of the team.  A position opened up in the cleaning team and she was then offered the opportunity to become employed as a cleaner.  Her contribution was very much appreciated – she received flowers, a hamper and a heartfelt speech & goodbye from our CEO.  We wish her well for her retirement.

Her progression tells a story of success when it comes to the skills and tools learned while working here at The Breadmaker and can be used as an example of what is possible for our apprentices.

Some of our apprentices express their wish to continue working with us for as long as possible while others have aspirations for gaining further work experience in other areas to complement their knowledge and skills.  We have had apprentices work and gain work experience in the likes of John Lewis, RGU, Rosie’s, Sainsbury’s, P&J, etc.  These experiences have been able to shape their lives in many ways and not only impact the apprentice but also becomes a rewarding experience for those they work with too.

If you would like to offer a work placement to an apprentice, please call us on 01224 641520.
