Our apprentices and some parents attended a Mental Health & Wellbeing course on Friday!
The Community Nurse team based at the Len Ironside centre, kindly came to teach us all about how to take care of our wellbeing.
We spoke about how exercise and the types of food that we eat can both affect how we feel. We were also taught about stress – how it can feel for our bodies and also how we can use our breathing to help us to reduce feelings of stress to allow us to relax.
We had fruit and water as a snack and spoke about our favourite ways to relax. All seemed to really enjoy this session and we look forward to some more courses in the future!
