Yesterday some of our apprentices attended First Aid training…

The British Red Cross kindly offered to hold a First Aid course for our apprentices and parents&guardians.  They were told about the importance of having a phone and a jumper for dealing with any first aid situation.  They also did some role-play with different casualties and how to deal with each scenario.  Apprentices were also shown how to check for vital signs and how to put someone in the recovery position.  They all seemed to really enjoy the session and The Breadmaker are proud to have more people working in our setting who have an awareness of how to best deal with certain situations should they arise.  Our apprentices will also gain an ASDAN certificate for the session too.  A big thank you to The British Red Cross for providing this very informative session and we look forward to more courses like this in the future.
